Shoe & Cleat Setup with Custom Sidas 1Hr : £119.99

One Of Your Key Contact Points

One of the fundamental elements of our Foundation Fit Service, the shoe and cleat setup is of vital importance to ensure comfort and performance on the bike.

We'll start by measuring your foot length, arch height and width, cross referencing with your current setup to ensure all tallies up with either your Old or New Shoes.

With this info we'll also understand whether some internal arch support within your shoe may be required. Feet come in a variety of 'styles' along with arch height and mobility so it's important to get them measured.

With this information we can then understand whether you'll benefit from a Custom Sidas insole and if so, begin the moulding process.

We start by taking an impression of your feet under load with the arch set to a neutral posture. The carbon sidas templates are then heated to allow them to conform to your foot impression. Once warmed, we overly the blank Sidas template and create arch supports to hold your foot in an optimal position under load.

Ensuring these feel comfortable, we cool and set the mould before trimming them to fit your existing or new shoes. These can now be popped into your shoes and we can look at setting cleat position along with fore-aft setup of the cleat, be it for road or off-road use.

Finally, we'll mark some bony references on your foot to check where your optimal cleat position should be and go about setting this up for you.

Whilst we offer this as a separate service, if you haven't had a full bike fit before (check out our Bike Fit Services) we'd advise doing this first as it worth checking saddle and bar position too. Our Foundation Fit, 1 Position Fit and 2 Position Fit services balance all these vital contact points to optimise both comfort and performance!

With comfort and performance compromised not only will your physical output suffer but there's also a significant chance your bike handling and technical skills will be compromised.

If you've had a fit but just need some help improving foot comfort and stablity along with setting up some new cleats or shoes, this service is for you!
